The people of Offenhauser have served the region we love with distinction. Our Golden Rule philosophy begins with service to others and to our community....
-
1905 - Helped found the Texarkana Board of Trade (Chamber of Commerce)

-
1925 - Helped found the Community Chest (United Way)

-
1939 - Led the effort to lobby Congress for what became Red River Army Depot and Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant. At their peak, employing more than 20,000.

-
1960's - Led the effort to expand the Community Hospital to Wadley Regional Medical Center.

-
1971 - Contributed our former office building to the Texarkana Museum Systems. The oldest brick building in Texarkana is now home of the Texarkana Historical Museum.

-
1982 - Marking our 100 year anniversary, we donated 5,000 dogwood tree seedlings to the community.

-
Now - We are helping create a four-year University in Texarkana and a world class K-16 engineering-I.T. school at Texas A&M University Texarkana and Texarkana Independent School District called the Morriss Math and Engineering School. This program is a pre-kindergarten through college math and engineering initiative.

-
Along the way Offenhauser produced 5 Chamber of Commerce presidents, 8 United Way chairs, and 7 Palmer Award Winners, Texarkana's top award for lifetime civic service. Today, we are proud of our associates who give countless hours to help others through charitable and community service organizations, such as Junior Achievement, Salvation Army, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, United Way, and public radio station KTXK.
